4 Pole African Reed Oval Palapa/Tiki Hut

Our African Reed 4 Pole Palapas are wonderful over spas, BBQ islands, pools, or just about anywhere you want shade. If you want to truly vacation at home, purchase an African Reed Palapa! There's nothing better than to relax in the shade of a palapa. Now you really can vacation at home!

Each Kit with Standard Options Include:

  • Flexible panels of African Reed thatch material
  • 4 main poles 6" diameter with supporting lumber
  • Partially assembled wood upper frame rafters
  • Metal Ribs for thatch to clip onto
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Hardware

Our 6 inch diameter poles extend to a 2" diameter wood frame. The African Reed thatch materials are a great durable natural thatch.

The four pole palapas are in the shape of an oval and the 4 posts beneath are placed under the peaks of each half round end.

The post spacing is measured from the center of the pole to the center of the other pole.

Basic Installation Overview:

1. Secure vertical posts
2. Attach beams & angle braces
3. Assemble roof framing to hut base
3. Secure metal rods for thatch roofing
4. Secure thatch pieces to metal rods
