Our 6 inch diameter poles extend to a 2" diameter wood frame. The synthetic thatch materials are a great alternative to natural thatch. We looked long and hard for a good synthetic thatch and finally found it. The synthetic thatch looks real, but has the benefit of low maintenance and longevity 20+ years.
