9 Foot African Cape Reed Palapas are made of flexible panels of cape reed indigenous of South Africa. This palapa thatch is estimated to last 6-10 years. The synthetic reed is mildew and bug resistant. There's nothing better than to relax in the shade of a palapa. Now you really can vacation at home! Synthetic thatch palapas are estimated to last upwards of 20 years.

Palapa sizes are a rough estimate because of the following: 9 foot palapa will have a 7.5 foot diameter frame & we estimate the thatch to overhand the frame by 9 inches on all sides. If you were to measure from one side of the palapa to the other including the thatch you should measure approximately 9 feet.

Basic Installation Instructions

Dig a hole in ground 12'' in diameter or core a hole into your bar surface 6 inch diameter and place main pole in hole and secure or put into palapa stand.
Connect metal or wood framework together
Attach metal framework onto pole
Attach reed roofing to frame
